TSAM members undertaking "Old Age Home Clean Drive Program" at Mecloed Ganj Old Age Home

In the spirit of summer vacation programme, around 20 Tibetan students under the aegis of Tibetan Students' Associaton, Madras (TSAM) on Friday cleaned the Tibetan Old Age Home here in the town.


"Since last year, it has become sort of our summer vacation programme to clean the Old Age Home, and its our immense pleasure to clean the Old Age Home," Tenzin Phuntsok, the president of TSAM said.


The TSAM students residing in and around Dharamshala for the ongoing summer holiday gathered up and cleaned the Old Age Home starting from nine in the morning till in the afternoon.


Despite the heat and dust, the Tibetan students bearing the stinky smell and without carrying away by the folly environment, the 20 students got drawn into the event and gayfully cleaned up the Old Age Home.

"We felt very tired but felt very happy to see joyful smiles on the faces of the old aged people at the home," one of the participant students said.


Tashi, 83-year old resident at the Old Age Home came to the students and acknowledged the good spirit and service that the young students rendered to the Old Age Home.
